Beginners: Dog agility training is a fun sport which you can do with your dog! It sharpens your dogs mind, helps with their coordination, great to use up any pent-up energy and fantastic to build a better bond between you both.

This group is suitable for dogs & handles with no prior agility training or experience.

Our Trainer:

We are extremely lucky to have a very well known and experienced agility handler teaching these sessions.

Hannah Marriott is a UK handler, trainer and competes in grade 7/ championship.

Like all of our trainers, we only allow positive training methods.

Over this course, you will notice a great improvement in your communication skills between you and your dog, plus your dogs co-ordination and confidence grow.

Dog Sports Derby:

Dog Sports Derby is one of the only purpose built Dog Training Centres in the UK. We run on Astro turf and indoors, so we will never need to cancel due to rain.

As we are on Astro turf, there is no toileting allowed inside. Please treat our surface, like you would you living room carpet. Clean shoes and no toileting.

We will send everyone a full list of rules and what you require for your first session closer to the time.

Prerequisites:

There are no breed restrictions for agility, however, your dog needs to be 12 months old before taking part. This is for the safety and long-term health of your dog.

All dogs need to have a good recall as agility is predominantly an off-lead sport.

Due to agility being a high energy sport, we cannot welcome dogs which are aggressive or reactive to other dogs.
